When I heard the Marigny Opera House was starting a new modern dance company I thought, this would be a perfect opportunity for LA Pointe to have its first EVER interview! I immediately contacted the opera house’s Executive Director, Dave Hulbert, to see if it was possible. Not only did Mr. Hulbert agree to an interview but so did Company Director, Spencer Doyle, and Rehearsal Director, Maya Taylor. Imagine my excitement!
This morning the four us sat down to discuss the company as well as the future of dance in New Orleans. Here is the sound clip of the interview:
It was a great pleasure interviewing the directors of the Marigny Opera House Dance Company. I look forward to the opening Gala in October!
